Sea Level Rise is the rise of mean global sea level.

Sea level started to rise in the mid-19th century and increased by about 14 to 17 cm during the 20th century. Today, sea level is rising at a mean rate of about 30 cm per century.  In the next 80 years, by 2100, it will rise up to 110 cm, thus representing a factor of hazard for many coastal populations.
